Kasahorow’s mission is to enable local languages remain a viable means of communication for all aspects of life.

One important way of achieving this goal is to do dictionary editing to the various local language dictionaries for use on the kasahorow website (www.dictionary.kasahorow.com). This document therefore provides a straight guideline for dictionary editors in order to help achieve a successful navigation during their work of editing.

What You Need

· A computer with an internet connection

· A user account holder on www.kasahorow.com

· Should be a recognized editor for the kasahorow team

· A dictionary

On line dictionaries for use are provided at dictionaries.kasahorow.com

The Editing Procedure

· Go to dictionary.kasahorow.com to access the home page

· Click on ‘dictionaries’ situated among a list of contents on the far right of the page

· You now have access to the various dictionaries of which you choose which you want to edit

· If your purpose is to add new entries, click on ‘add new entries’ after accessing the language of your choice. This is also found on the right hand of the page

· You now have to log in your user name and password to have access to editing the dictionary

· You now at this point have access to your account which gives you audacity to make a database entry.

You now place in the form provided the new entry you want to make. The form gives you opportunity to input detailed information concerning the word of the language you are entering, like the name, root, language family, hyponyms, connotations, part of speech…etc

All these have short explanations written underneath the spaces provided to elaborate their meanings in case you would need it.

After making a successful fill – in, click ‘save’ to register your new entry!

Your new word then gets displayed where it should be. You are now done.
